Here is something you don't see too often, especially not in good condition. And from this angle it doesn't look to shabby, right? It's almost 90 years old, what do you expect?
OK, so it shows it's age a little. Let's take a closer look shall we? Looks like the neck joint is coming loose.
Well, I guess the fingerboard may just be a little loose too.
It also has a few cracks in it.
Well it looks like it isn't quite the player it used to be!
Is that an ebony bridge? Nope, dyed maple, just like the fingerboard, they call it "Ebonized". That bridge never was glued down, it is of the floating type.
Now it is starting to look like it was not all that good to start with. I wonder why the tail piece is off center so much? I guess if the neck is not in alignment, then the tail piece can't be either, or the bridge would be floating in the wrong place!
Strange tail piece design, and whats up with those strings?
Going by the strings, this thing was put in an attic shortly after it was made in 1927! The strings look like factory originals!
