RDE Lutherie Recycles!

Not only do I recycle used strings and what not, I recycle everything I can.

So what happens to all of those guitars that seem to be beyond repair?  Well I can imagine that millions of them have ended up in landfills.  But when I get my hands on them, they may have a better future.  Good necks can be paired with good body's, and many other parts can be used to make good working and sounding instruments.  Even when parts can not be used in whole, I have cut up instrument parts and made shop fixtures, tool holders and other stuff out of them.  There are many uses for old guitar parts, ranging from plain artwork to fully functional architectural features.  A little imagination can go a long way.

In this section of the site, I will showcase some of the things I do with instrument parts slated for the trash.  You are strongly encouraged to donate old guitars and parts thereof, just contact me and give me a quick description of what you want to get rid of, and if I can use it, I would be glad to arrange for shipping or pick up.  I see recycling as an artistic outlet, as well as a small way of reducing stress on our planet, which it is in great need of.
